Comoros President Assoumani extends Diwali wishes to PM Modi, VP Naidu
President Azali Assoumani of Comoros on Sunday, October 27, sent his Diwali greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.

President Azali Assoumani of Comoros on Sunday, October 27, sent his Diwali greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. Comoros is a country located in the Indian Ocean which is also a member of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). India's Ambassador to Comoros Abhay Kumar has said that Comoros President Azali's Diwali greetings to PM Modi and VP Naidu showcase the growth of ties between the two countries. Vice President Naidu has reciprocated the Diwali greetings of the president of Comoros.

VP Naidu's visit to Comoros
Earlier this month, Vice President Venakaiah Naidu had visited the Comoros island. During his visit, six key agreements were signed. These included agreements in the sector of defence cooperation. According to reports, he was also invited to address the Comorian Parliament.

According to reports, Ambassador Abhay Kumar hosted Diwali celebrations at his residence in Madagascar's capital Antananarivo. The celebrations were attended by the Secretary-General of the Presidency, Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs and Secretary-General of Defence of Madagascar among others.
