A tweet by a flyer from Air Vistara has gone viral on social media. Shyama Rath was trying to fill personal details on the Airline's website and was unable to use 'Professor' with her gender. Taking a screenshot of the page, Rath tweeted it with the caption "Common". The screenshot displayed the message which read: "Title PROFESSOR is not valid for this gender. Please change your TITLE option."
The tweet was soon noticed by the airline who responded saying, "Dear Ms. Rath. Thank you for pointing this out. This certainly is not done correctly, we will have it fixed! Apologies for this, we are embarrassed to see, Vishal"

Meanwhile, Twitter has been buzzing with reactions of the same. Although, while a few stated that the blunder was highly wrong and should take note off, many lauded the airline for their swift comeback. Read reactions below-
A horrible blunder, no doubt, from @airvistara but a very swift, effective comeback too (the choice of words by both Sanjiv, and the official handle, in particular), when you notice the brand wasn't tagged. Brands need to be on top of all kinds of brand mentions and hashtags. pic.twitter.com/zycWKroSta
