A statement from the government said:
"The Government has expressed profound sorrow on the sad demise of Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar, in the state of Goa on March 17, 2019.
As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, seven days State Mourning will be observed throughout the state of Goa from 18/03/2019 to 24/03/2019 both days inclusive.
During the period of State Mourning the National Flag will fly at Half Mast on all the buildings throughout the state of Goa where it is regularly flown and there will be no official entertainment."
The Centre earlier on Sunday announced national mourning on March 18, following the demise of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. A state funeral will be accorded to the late former Defence Minister.
The National Flag will fly at half-mast in the National Capital and capitals of States and Union Territories.
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar passed away on Sunday after battling a prolonged illness. He was 63 years old.

President of India Ram Nath Kovind announced on Twitter about Parrikar's demise. He tweeted saying:
"Extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister of Goa, after an illness borne with fortitude and dignity. An epitome of integrity and dedication in public life, his service to the people of Goa and of India will not be forgotten."
Parrikar was suffering from a serious pancreatic ailment. He was at his private residence at Dona Paula in Goa during his last hours.
