HD Kumaraswamy backs DK Shivakumar over his PMLA case arrest by ED
Former Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy tweeted in the support of Congress leader DK Shivakumar after his arrest by the ED on Tuesday night.
Former Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy has tweeted in the support of Congress leader DK Shivakumar after his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday night. In his tweet, he has accused the Government of playing “vindictive politics” and targeting the Opposition. He has asked DK Shivakumar to be strong and “face vindictive agenda”. This comes after the Enforcement Directorate cited non-cooperation from DK Shivakumar's end post four days of questioning in New Delhi.

The Money Laundering Case
The former Water Resources Minister of Karnataka, DK Shivakumar, was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case for four days. On Tuesday, he was placed under arrest under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), news agency PTI reported. Earlier, the Karnataka High Court had rejected a petition filed by Shivakumar seeking to quash the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate to appear before of them.
Congress Reaction
The Sonia Gandhi-led Congress party and the Youth Congress took to Twitter to condemn the arrest of DK Shivakumar.
