Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur visits Netherlands to explore possibilities in food processing

In a bid to explore possibilities in the fruit processing, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur visited a food functioning unit in Netherlands.
Thakur visited the Dalco Food Facility on Friday to understand the process of and functioning of the fruit processing area. The main focus was mainly on apples, which grow in abundance in Himachal Pradesh. Thakur also visited Germany. The reason for the CM's visit is to bring in investors to the state.
He said:
"In Netherlands, we visited Dalto Foods to learn about products made from fruits, especially apple-related products. The Netherlands officials also discussed the possibilities of making protein-based food products in Himachal."
In addition, Thakur also spoke about Himachal Pradesh's varied climatic conditions and diverse topography which makes it suitable for growth of several medicinal plants. Also, the CM addressed a gathering of Indians in Hague, Netherlands. Here's what he said:
"Addressed the Indian community in The Hague of the Netherlands and invited them to the upcoming investor meet. It is expected that the foreign investment coming from this unique initiative of the Himachal government will contribute significantly to the development of Himachal."
On June 12, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the state of Himachal Pradesh and Frankfurt Innovation Zentrum. The Memorandum includes an agreement in different fields like Ayurgenomics (Ayurveda and Genomics) and precision medicine and precision agriculture. Here's what the tweet Chief Minister's Office tweet says:
"Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur Ji in Frankfurt, Germany, the MOU was signed between the Himachal Government and the Frankfurt Innovation Genttrum (FIZ). The agreement in the Ayurveda-genomics sector will give impetus to the growth of Himachal and promote self-employment.
On his visit to Frankfurt, Thakur also addressed a roadshow. Here's what he said on Twitter:
""I hope that the German investors will make a significant contribution to the development of Himachal by strengthening their business relationship with India."
Thakur has assured state government's complete support and make sure that all entrepreneurs will be assisted for setting their respective units.
