Debunking news reports claiming that CRPF had stopped paying monthly ration money to its 3 lakh personnel in September due to lack of funds, the Home Ministry, on Sunday cleared the air in a series of tweets. The Home Ministry stated that ration arrears were paid to 2 lakh personnel. It stated that the CRPF have received funds equivalent to 6 months for messing. The CRPF too has rubbished the reports that 'Jawans had run out of money' and called such reports baseless.
Here is the series of tweets stating the facts of the funds released:
In this way CRPF troops have already received an amount Rs Rs 22,144 as Ration money in July which is equivalent to 6 months RMA (at present rates) and thus they have sufficient funds for messing.

Hence the contention that jawans have run out of ration money is baseless and preposterous and there is no crisis whatsoever. The RMA for September will also be paid shortly

CRPF remains ever committed to the welfare of its jawans.

Asaduddin Owaisi's claim
Earlier in the day, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi sharing a news report called out the BJP government for failing to spare monthly allowance to the CRPF Jawans. His comments were based on reports claiming that the PM Modi government was affected by the economic crisis, causing a crunch in "ration allowance” of CRPF. He slammed the Home Ministry for the 'insult'. He also stated that nationalism could get votes, but not be eaten by parties.
He said, "For large businesses, BJP gives a cash bonanza. For our brave CRPF personnel, Amit Shah can't spare 3k/month allowance. There cannot be a greater insult. This rhetoric of nationalism may get you votes but you cannot have it for dinner."
