PM Narendra Modi on Sunday responded US President Donald Trump's tweet about coming to Houston for the 'Howdy, Modi!' event. The United States President had tweeted amid the ongoing cultural program at the event about him being in Houston for his friend. PM Modi replied saying he looked forward to meeting him soon. Donald Trump tweets ahead of 'Howdy, Modi!'
The US President tweeted saying that he will be in Houston to be with his 'friend'. He added that it would be a great day in Texas on the occasion of 'Howdy, Modi!'. "Will be in Houston to be with my friend. Will be a great day in Texas!" he tweeted. Read the story in the link below.

Moreover, US President Donald Trump is going to be present on the occasion. The White House Press Secretary stated that the ways to deepen the energy and trade relationship would be discussed during the meeting between PM Modi and the US President. Subsequently, PM Modi thanked the US President's “special gesture”. He opined that US President Trump joining the 'Howdy, Modi!' gathering was a recognition of the contribution of the Indian community to American society and economy. Also, singing sensation Sparsh Shah has been selected to perform the Indian National Anthem at the event. Post the event, PM Modi's schedule includes multiple bilateral meetings lined up with various Heads of the countries along with engagements at the United Nations.

After landing in Houston, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met energy sector CEOs and also interacted with the Kashmiri Pandits, Dawoodi Bohra, and the Sikh delegations. While the Sikh community congratulated him for his government's Kartarpur Corridor initiative, the Kashmiri Pandits expressed their joy on the Centre's move on Article 370. The Dawoodi Bohra group recalled the PM's 2018 visit to their community programme in Indore. The PM is all set to address the 'Howdy, Modi!' event which is being hosted in his honour at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas in some time. Already, more than 50,000 people have registered with many others on the waiting list. It will also feature a 90-minute cultural programme with audio feed in English, Hindi, and Spanish.
