Independence Day: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat hoists national flag in Bengaluru
With the theme "Nation First, Always First", India celebrated 77th Independence Day on August 15, 2023.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarasanghachalak (chief) Dr Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the National Flag and addressed the 77th Independence Day Ceremony Celebration at Vasavi Convention Hall, Bengaluru. Sarkaryavaah Dattatreya Hosabale was also present on this occasion.

RSS Nagpur Mahanagar Sanghchalak Rajesh Loya and senior pracharak Rambhau Bondale hoisted the national flag at the Sangh headquarters to celebrate the country's 77th Independence Day.
The swayamsevaks will also carry out 'pathsanchalan' (march past) in various parts of the city at 5 pm.
With the theme "Nation First, Always First", India celebrated 77th Independence Day on August 15, 2023. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolour and addressed the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort in the national capital. Earlier on the day, PM Modi took to the social media platform, X and extended greetings on the occasion of Independence Day. "Best wishes on Independence Day. We pay homage to our great freedom fighters and reaffirm our commitment to fulfilling their vision. Jai Hind!" he tweeted.
