BJP has attacked Rahul Gandhi for his attempt to do mudslinging on PM Narendra Modi over the issue of India's national security.
A day after China had blocked the resolution against Masood Azhar to list him as a designated terrorist in UNSC, Rahul Gandhi took potshot at PM Modi over the security threat issues concerning India.
Gandhi tweeted on Thursday calling PM Modi 'weak' and saying that he is scared of Chinese President Xi Jinping to act against the country.
"Weak Modi is scared of Xi. Not a word comes out of his mouth when China acts against India.
NoMo’s China Diplomacy:
1. Swing with Xi in Gujarat
2. Hug Xi in Delhi
3. Bow to Xi in China"
This is despite China's position on Masood Azhar being the same for over a decade."
The BJP countered this attack by Gandhi and tweeted about how Congress had fared in foreign relations during its own rule since the time of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
"China wouldn't be in UNSC had your great grandfather not 'gifted' it to them at India’s cost.
India is undoing all mistakes of your family. Be assured that India will win the fight against terror.
Leave it to PM Modi while you keep cosying up with the Chinese envoys secretly."
Congress president has continued with his former stand of standing in unity against terrorism.
On Wednesday, yet again Rahul Gandhi was caught trivialising the issue of terror. During a speech he referred to Masood Azhar as a criminal and not a terrorist.
"The architect of the Pulwama attack is the man who planted the bomb. The architect is a man called Masood Azhar, released by the BJP - sent to Pakistan and sent to Kandahar by the BJP. National Security Advisor was involved in that deal. So the BJP needs to explain exactly why they sent that criminal back."
