INDIAN NAVY STATEMENT: We've witnessed Pakistan indulging in false propaganda & misinformation, our deployments remain undeterred

Pakistan has been indulging in false propaganda to spread misinformation, the Indian Navy has confirmed, dismissing that such efforts would have any effect on its deployment.

The Navy has issued a pair of tweets from its official handle:

The update comes on a day that videos were being circulated by Pakistan purportedly showing Indian Navy vessels in key places, though the clips have been thoroughly exposed for being years old.

The tweet also references the Navy's statement from the joint-briefing in the aftermath of the IAF foiling Pakistan's attempt to intrude into India and attack India's military installations:

"The Indian Navy is in a high state of readiness and remains poised in all three dimensions, air, land and sea to defeat any misadventure by Pak in the maritime domain. I can assure you of resolute, swift and strong response when needed. We stand as one with the Army and Air Force to ensure safety and security", Rear Admiral Dalbir Singh Gujral had said. 

Earlier on Monday, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba had revealed that the Navy had reports of terrorists being trained to carry out attacks with various modus operandi, including through the medium of the sea. He said this while speaking at the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) in New Delhi, where he also emphasised the serious nature of the terrorism threat India faces:

"The most significant challenge of our time is terrorism. The Indo-Pacific region has witnessed multiple forms of terrorism in recent years and few countries in this part of the world have been spared by this cause. The global nature that terrorism has acquired in recent times has further enhanced the scope of this threat. India, however, faces a far more serious version of terrorism - state-sponsored terrorism."
