Mehbooba Mufti compares Congress to Game of Thrones' "Bran the warg". Read to know why

During election season, it is rare to find politicians speaking anything else apart from their trade. But Mehbooba Mufti who is often active on Twitter voicing her opinions on several issues has made one of the trendiest pop culture references while making a political point. 

Mufti had commented on Nirmala Sitharaman's statement to ANI where she said that several eminent Congress leaders had gone to Pakistan to seek help to oust Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "There have been eminent Congress leaders who’ve gone there to seek help to oust Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Sitharaman had said.

Calling the Raksha Mantri's statement "a vivid imagination", Mufti made a sarcastic comment where she compared Congress to Bran the warg from Game of Thrones.

"What a vivid imagination. Yes, and the rest of the Cong leaders control the Pakistani establishment like Bran the warg from Game of Thrones," she tweeted.

Bran is one of the more famous characters from the show. He belongs to the Stark family which is one of the families central to the show's plot. He is a 'warg', meaning he possesses the power to enter the minds of animals and see the world through their senses and even control their actions. 

Netizens reacted to her tweet being fascinated that she knew about the Game of Thrones character.
