Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, on Friday tweeted through Mehbooba Mufti's account accusing Devendra Fadnavis and the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) government of double standards. This comes after Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis had earlier said that the party was ready to offer Aaditya Thackeray the deputy CM post. Iltija said that the BJP is ready to offer Aaditya Thackeray, who has never fought an election the post of Deputy CM whereas the party has 'imprisoned' former CM's Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah to punish them for dynasty politics.
BJP propping Aditya Thackeray, a political novice who hasn’t ever fought an election as Deputy CM. Wait isn’t he Uddhav Thackerays son?

But they imprison former JK CMs @OmarAbdullah & my mother Miss Mufti to punish them for dynastic politics.
Double standard much? https://t.co/ELh2wKBvLG
Fadnavis offers Aaditya Thackeray Deputy CM post
Mufti's daughter Iltija, has been tweeting through her mother's account since September 20 after the former J&K CM was placed under house arrest post abrogation of Article 370. Iltija's tweet comes just before the Maharashtra Assembly elections which are scheduled to be held on October 21 and the counting of votes is scheduled on October 24. Maharashtra CM Fadnavis had put all ends of speculations on Shiv Sena-BJP alliance on August 4 by saying that the alliance would contest for an equal number of seats in the upcoming Assembly elections. He also said that the party was ready to offer the post of Deputy CM to Aaditya Thackeray and that the party would be glad to have him in the government.
Mehbooba Mufti put under house arrest
Earlier, on September 5, the Supreme Court (SC) had allowed Iltija Mufti to meet her mother Mehbooba Mufti in Srinagar after she cited health concerns. This was after the former J&K CM was put under house arrest following the historic abrogation of Article 370 which allowed the state of Jammu & Kashmir to enjoy a special status.
