Mumbai Police takes #10YearChallenge with a unique twist, melts million hearts on Internet

2019 is already off to an interesting start – thanks to social media. An egg went on to become the most liked picture on Instagram beating Kylie Jenner’s previously held record, Netflix had to issue a warning against people blindfolding themselves as part of the Bird Box challenge, and in the last 24-hours, the #10YearChallenge kicked off. From celebrities, brands to people, many are posting their pictures of 2009 and 2019 showcasing the changes they have gone through in the past 10 years. 

However, the Mumbai Police has stolen the show by jumping into the viral challenge. In a tweet shared on Thursday, Mumbai Police took the #10YearChallenge and made it their own with a unique twist. Assuring Mumbaikars that their commitment towards them would not change in ten or 20 or 40 years, they called it the 'Forever Challenge'.

"Not 10 nor 20 or 40 years. Mumbaikars, nothing changes our commitment towards you! #ForeverChallenge #10YearsChallenge," they wrote, sharing a picture that shows Mumbai Police's logo, unchanged since 1947.

As always with social media challenges, it is a little unclear on who or what started the movement, however, some netizens derive that it has probably to do with Facebook’s feature that brings back old memories on your wall. The creatives minds on social media found an interesting way to convert this challenge into something hilarious.

Earlier, Bollywood actress Shruti Hassan took to Instagram and posted an old picture of herself from 10 years back. In the picture, the actress looks unrecognisable and can be seen sporting bangs.

She captioned it as, "ten years I always miss my bangs but I deffo don’t miss the ugly in-between stage of growing them out! 2009-2019 #10yearchallenge." Isn't she looking cute in both the looks?
