On the auspicious festival of Diwali, wherein the whole of India gets lightened and brightened up with lights, Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu sent a heartwarming wish to the country as well as his dear friend PM Narendra Modi.

The two leaders of their respective nation exchanged pleasantries on Twitter, which began after Israel PM sent a message in Hindi for his counterpart, which read,

"I and the people of Israel wish my friend Narendra Modi and India on the auspicious festival of Diwali. On the occasion of light, we hope you get all the happiness. We'd be extremely happy if you reply to this tweet from the city where you are celebrating this festival."

PM Narendra Modi replied in kind, and having seen his counterpart send a message in Hindu, he decided to send his own message in Hebrew, an official language of Israel. His Twitter post read,

"Bibi, my dear friend. Thank you very much for Diwali wishes. Every year on Diwali, I visit the border areas and surprise our soldiers. This year, too, I will spend time with our brave soldiers. The time spent with them is special."

The exchanges between the topmost leaders of their respective countries did not stop there. Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu followed his wish in Hindi with a message in English, which was returned by a 'Thank you' message by PM Modi.
