This is the poisonous Delhi air, where even a powerful bedroom air purifier leaves the air quality unhealthy, and your kitchen air quality is hazardous. 95% of Delhites probably cannot afford an air purifier. And, yet, we complain about odd-even. #DelhiAirEmergency pic.twitter.com/2uKJsx4xaF

Air Purifier is the best friend. Running ACs in 23 C temperature because need some inflow or clean air to avoid CO2 build up.
Sorry environment, I don’t want to emit all this energy consumption carbon, but just avoiding a lung collapse. pic.twitter.com/W3yOrtMoXL

Centre, state pass the buck
In view of the situation, the AAP government in Delhi announced the implementation of the Odd-Even scheme from November 4 to 15, 2019. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal stated that the smog from the nearby states caused by the burning of crop residue caused pollution in the region. Meanwhile, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Delhi CM shouldn't engage in politics over the issue and said that states facing the situation must come together to find a solution.
Supreme Court panel on Friday had declared a public health emergency and ordered a ban on construction activity till November 5. The Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Activity has banned bursting of crackers in winter. However, the air quality continues to deteriorate, as on Sunday, the AQI level crossed 1000 for most parts of Delhi.
