NCW Chief Rekha Sharma goes to Agra to inquire into murder of Darvesh Yadav, the first woman chief of the U.P Bar Association
The National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson, Rekha Sharma, has decided to conduct an inquiry pertaining to the murder of Darvesh Yadav, President of Uttar Pradesh Bar Council, at the Agra Civil Court on Wednesday.

The NCW chief has sought to personally intervene in the matter which involves the murder of the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council's first woman president, who had taken office just days earlier and was shot by her close aide Manish Sharma with a licensed pistol. In a tweet, Sharma said that she is going to Agra to inquire about the murder:
Earlier on Wednesday, BSP Chief Mayawati condemned the murder of Yadav:
"The ruthless murder of the President of the Bar Council inside the premises of the Agra Civil Court and the unwarranted beating received by the journalist in Shamli is an extremely unfortunate and condenmable incident and goes to show that after the elections, the anarchy and 'jungle raj' of the BJP government has only strengthened with time," she tweeted.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav too condemned the murder of UP Bar Council President's murder:
Meanwhile, Sharma taking initiative regarding Darvesh Yadav's murder comes within 24 hours of the incident.
