Nitin Gadkari extends 'heartiest congratulations' to PM Modi on being conferred with Maldives' highest honour for foreign dignitary. Here's what he said
PM Modi was on Saturday conferred Maldives' highest honour accorded to foreign dignitaries, 'The Most Honourable Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddeen'. The prestigious award was presented to the Prime Minister by Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during a ceremony in Male.

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari took to Twitter and congratulated PM Modi for receiving the Maldives' highest civilian honour.
"Heartiest Congratulations to PM Modi," wrote Nitin Gadkari in his tweet.
On Saturday, Union Minister Smriti Irani also reacted to Prime Minister Modi being conferred with the highest order of Maldives to foreign dignitaries: “The Most Honourable Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddeen”.
She termed the honour as "a testimony to India’s growing stature in the world and PM Modi contribution towards cementing ties with neighbours"
Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi is on his way to visit island country of Sri Lanka on Sunday. Departing from Maldives, he thanked the citizens of the island nation for their hospitality and Maldivian government for being great hosts. He also added such warm experience will add to the advancement of bilateral ties between two nations with vigour.
