Pak Army spokesperson Ghafoor ridiculed for typo-ridden Twitter rant

Asif Ghafoor, Pakistan Army spokesperson in an effort to generate a verbal attack on India, made a spelling error calling Kashmir the jugular 'vain' of Pakistan on Twitter. This further invited the trolls on the social media platform, leaving Ghafoor red-faced with embarrassment. Ghafoor who was quoting a statement by the Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa stated that the country is fully 'configured, prepared, and determined' to defend the 'honour, dignity and territorial integrity of the motherland at all cost' furthering stating that Kashmir is the jugular 'vain' of Pakistan. Ghafoor added that Pakistan is to deny any talks of compromise in regards to Kashmir.

Netizens start trolling

As soon as the mistake was spotted, grammar nazis and trollers on the social media started cracking jokes on the error made by Ghafoor. However, this is not the first time that Pakistan had to face the trolls. Earlier, Fawad Chaudhary, Pakistan's Science and Technology Minister, was trolled for spelling the word satellite incorrectly after he had tried to take a dig at ISRO on its lost communication with Vikram, the lander. Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan's Ambassador at the United Nations also faced a hard time dealing with trolls when she referred to the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson incorrectly. Lodhi had called Johnson a Foreign Minister during his meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan. This was on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. After being trolled on social media, Lodhi corrected the mistake, stating that a typing error was the reason for the mistake, further correcting the sentence.
