Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Saturday said the country could lose in a conventional war with India which could then be resulting in a view that both the countries are nuclear-armed. In an interview to Al-Jazeera, Khan said that when two nuclear-armed countries fight a conventional war then there is every possibility of it ending in a nuclear war. “If I say Pakistan, God forbid, and in a conventional war, and we are losing, and if a country is stuck between two choices, either you surrender or fight to the death for your freedom,” he added.

Imran Khan: "There would be consequences of a nuclear war"

Imran Khan also added that he knows Pakistan will fight to the death for freedom and when a nuclear-armed country fights to the death and “there would be consequences”. He said that on Kashmir issue, Pakistan approached the United Nations and other international fora in consideration of these consequences. Imran Khan asked every international forum to act immediately because a possible disaster could go way beyond the Indian subcontinent.

Pakistan PM ruled out the possibility of dialogue with India after the country decided to abrogate Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that gave a special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has also downgraded its diplomatic ties and trade relations with India as a way to protest. India has maintained its stand on the issue calling it as an “internal matter”. India’s stance has been supported by many countries and asked Pakistan to review these decisions so that normal channels for diplomatic communications are reserved.

Pak exposed by India at UNHCR 

A few days ago, in the 42nd session UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland, India exposed Pakistan even as the latter presented a long 115-page dossier alleging atrocity by Indian administration in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. Speaking during the 'right to answer' session, India's MEA Secretary East Vijay Thakur Singh smashed Pakistan's lies and exposed the country on an international forum even as she did not name the country. Earlier, Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had repeated the same lies about Jammu and Kashmir that Pak has been peddling since a month - after August 5 when India abrogated Article 370 - that provided special status to the state.
