PM Modi breaks SPG protocol, exchange Diwali sweets with armed forces

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, keeping up with his tradition, celebrated the festival of lights with the armed forces in Rajouri along the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday. As per sources, Prime Minister got the barricading removed that was placed between him and the soldiers. He told the SPG that there should be no distance between him and his soldiers as they are his family members. After the barricading was removed, PM himself went near the Jawans and fed them with sweets with his own hands.

PM Modi lauded Jammu and Kashmir Police

As per sources, it is also believed that PM Modi told the Army that if Pakistan wants a dialogue, India will never shy away from it but if they threaten the Jawans, then they will give a befitting response to them. He also lauded the Jammu and Kashmir Police and told them that they are the people who work in most hostile conditions.

Strong message to Pakistan

The areas PM Modi visited are the same areas where Pakistan has been violating the ceasefire for the last few days. This will also send a strong message across the border. Since becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, PM Modi has been celebrating Diwali with the security forces every year. 

PM Modi celebrated Diwali near India-China border in 2018

In 2018, he had celebrated the festival with the Jawans of Indian Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at Harsil village near the India-China border. PM Modi, while visiting the Jawans and ITBP, had bestowed heaps of praise on the Jawans saying that their fearlessness reaches the entire Nation, just as the light of Diwali spreads to dispel negativity.

PM Modi extends greetings on Diwali

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his Diwali greetings for the country on Sunday. The Prime Minister in his tweet wished for a 'prosperous' and a 'happy' nation.
