Narendra Modi on Thursday was sworn in as country’s Prime Minister for a second term. PM Modi was administered oath along with his new council of ministers at 7 PM by President Ram Nath Kovind. Minutes after taking the oath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed profile and cover photos of his official and personal Twitter handles. Take a look:

Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi put out his first official tweet after taking oath for his second term in office. 

PM Modi also changed the profile image of his personal account.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi removed the term 'Chowkidar' from the username of his Twitter account on Thursday, signaling the end of the need for keeping the term as people had incorporated his message of staying vigilant and fighting against corruption.

Removing 'Chowkidar' from his profile name, he had written:

From political leaders to sportspersons and film stars, a record 8,000+ guests attended the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi.

Besides politicians and celebrities, the event was attended by 70 special guests. These guests are the family members of BJP workers who lost their lives in incidents of political violence in West Bengal over the past few years, a senior BJP leader informed.

In view of the swearing-in ceremony, government offices located near Rashtrapati Bhavan would remain closed on Thursday. While the offices located in the North Block, South Block, Rail Bhawan, Vayu Bhawan, Sena Bhawan, DRDO and Hutments would be closed at 2 pm on May 30.
