PM Modi extends greetings on Diwali

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his Diwali greetings for the country on Sunday. The Prime Minister in his tweet wished for a 'prosperous' and a 'happy' nation. 

According to sources, the Prime Minister is likely to spend Diwali with the soldiers. Like every year, this year too the Prime Minister is expected to visit another forward area on Sunday. In 2018, PM Modi spent Diwali with the soldiers at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at Harsil village near the India-China border.

'India wali Diwali'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched a campaign 'India wali Diwali', urging people to celebrate the festival with the poor on October 25. The PM tweeted a video which also features Bollywood Actor Rajkummar Rao urging people to celebrate the festival with the poor. "Let us make this Diwali about lighting the lamp of happiness in the lives of others. Let us make this #India Wali Diwali," he said with the video.

President Ram Nath Kovind Greets the country on Diwali

President Ram Nath Kovind also extended his Diwali wishes to the people of the country and urged people to help the less fortunate.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended their Diwali wishes for the people of the country on Twitter.
