Speculating the concurrence of PM Modi's shoot for Man VS Wild with the Pulwama terror attack, the Congress party has asked Discovery to make public the shooting timings of the episode that was shot in Jim Corbett National Park.
Speculating the concurrence of PM Modi's shoot for Man VS Wild with the Pulwama terror attack, the Congress party has asked Discovery to make public the shooting timings of the episode that was shot in Jim Corbett National Park.
Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said if one would recall that when the Pulwama terror incident took place earlier this year, at that time it was pointed out that the prime minister addressed a public meeting at 5.15 pm that day, but he did not condemn the incident or paid obeisance to the martyrs or warn Pakistan.
As per PTI, he said there was an inescapable conclusion that the Prime Minister was unaware even two hours after the incident that such a huge terrorist attack has taken place.
He told PTI, "If the Prime Minister was aware, then it reflected gross insensitivity by not condemning the incident on the first occasion that he got, the first occasion was the public meeting that he was holding and now with this particular film ready to be telecast on August 12."
"I think it is incumbent upon the Discovery Channel to really put it out in the public space that on that particular day, for how many hours and from what time to what time, did the shooting of this particular film took place," Tewari added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to don his adventure boots as the Man vs Wild episode featuring him alongside host and adventure enthusiast Bear Grylls is scheduled to premiere on August 12. PM Modi is seen walking through the vast terrain, sailing through the river and scrutinising the woods.
On February 22, then Congress president Rahul Gandhi had posted photographs of PM Modi's visit to Jim Corbett National Park in Uttrakhand, accusing him of shooting on the day of the Pulwama terror attack wherein 40 CRPF Jawans were martyred. In a tweet, Gandhi scion said, "Three hours after the martyrdom of 40 soldiers in Pulwama, 'Prime time Minister' was shooting for a movie."
पुलवामा में 40 जवानों की शहादत की खबर के तीन घंटे बाद भी ‘प्राइम टाइम मिनिस्टर’ फिल्म शूटिंग करते रहे।

However, in a quick retaliation, the BJP refuted the allegations calling it 'fake news' and defended saying that the photos were of the morning, but India knew of the attack only in the evening.
Rahul Ji, India is tired of your fake news. Stop sharing photos from that morning to shamelessly mislead the nation.

Maybe you knew in advance of the attack but people of India got to know in the evening.
Try a better stunt next time, where sacrifice of soldiers isn’t involved. https://t.co/qiAhUKrNdg
