After the scheduled UN Climate change summit and the meeting on universal health coverage, PM Modi will have five bilateral meetings with Presidents and Prime Ministers.
The detailed schedule of the bilateral meetings
Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the two events at 7.30 PM (IST) and 9.00 PM (IST), will meet the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, followed by President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte of Italy, President Hage Geingob of Namibia, and President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih of Maldives. He will be discussing bilateral relationship between India and all the five other nations.
UN Climate Change Summit & Universal Health Coverage
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the Climate Action Summit held in the United Nations on September 23. According to the reports, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will host the summit in an effort to boost ambition and accelerate actions to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. PM Modi had also stated that this will be a platform to showcase India’s success in meeting several Sustainable Development Goals. A high-level meeting on the Universal Health coverage will be followed by the Summit. PM Modi will be sharing India's achievements in providing healthcare and wellness for the needy. The recent launch of the Ayushman Bharat Programme rests on the twin pillars of health and wellness centres. With this, the National Health Protection Mission (NHPM) for 100 million families in the country will also be highlighted at the event.
Key events I would be attending at the @UN are the Climate Action Summit, an event on Universal Health Coverage, and opening plenary of the Bloomberg Global Business Forum. These forums will give opportunities to showcase India’s efforts to build peaceful and prosperous world.

PM Modi's speech at 'Howdy Modi'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the huge crowd of over 50,000 people at the mega 'Howdy Modi' event on September 22 at the NRG Stadium in Houston. With President Donald Trump sitting in the front row, he addressed the Indo-American community in Houston. He spoke extensively on topics relating to trade, terrorism, elections, development and economy. Pointing out the abrogation of Article 370, the PM stated that the move has freed women, children and Dalits of discrimination. The BJP-led Central government abrogated Article 370 on August 5, revoking the special status given to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, and further bifurcating the state into two union territories- Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
