Arvind Singh, a fan of Prime Minister Modi, offered a gold crown to Lord Hanuman at Sankat Mochan Temple to mark the Prime Minister's birthday. He offered the crown weighing 1.25 kg on Monday, ahead of the PM’s birthday. Arvind Singh said he had taken a pledge to offer the gold crown to Lord Hanuman if the Prime Minister returns to power at Centre for a consecutive second term.

A pledge to offer 1.25 kg gold crown

"Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, I took a vow to offer gold crown weighing 1.25 kg to Lord Hanuman if Modiji formed the government for the second time," he told news agency ANI.

A priest also said PM Modi is the one who is building the nation in a way that was not done in the last 75 years. So it was decided that the crown would be offered to Lord Hanuman a day before PM’s birthday, with faith that his and India’s future would shine like gold. He added that it is a gift for the Prime Minister on behalf of Kashi People.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 69 on Tuesday and was greeted by several leaders, including Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President and Home Minister Amit Shah. In his message, Naidu said the nation is making steady progress under Modi's able leadership. Amit Shah described Modi as a leader with strong willpower and a symbol of decisive leadership and hard work.

PM Modi to celebrate his birthday in Gujarat 

Late Monday night, PM Modi reached Ahmedabad and was welcomed by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at the airport. He will be celebrating his birthday in the state. PM Narendra Modi has a packed birthday schedule, which includes a visit to the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river to kick off the "Namami Narmade" festival. Notably, the water level in the Sardar Sarovar Dam has reached its highest mark for the first time since construction.

After visiting the Dam site at Kevadiya, the Prime Minister will address a gathering. After his address, PM is expected to inspect ongoing developmental projects near the Dam and the Statue of Unity.
