President Ram Nath Kovind met veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar at her residence in Mumbai during his current visit to the city. The official Twitter handle of the President has put up a picture from the meeting and hailed the legendary musician as 'the pride of India'. In the post, the country chief expressed his delight to meet the legendary musician and conveyed his best wishes. He also praised her for sweetening lives with her soulful melody and said that she 'continues to inspire us with her simplicity and grace'.

The President of India during his current visit to Mumbai attended the inauguration ceremony of the underground Bunker Museum at Raj Bhavan, in the city. The British-era bunker was discovered in 2016 and has 13 rooms such as Shell Store, Gun Shell, Cartridge Store, and Central Artillery Store. It will be opened to the public later this year.
