"There is an imperative need to create a new unit office at Puducherry, which will have a greater impact on anti-corruption work. This will facilitate the public to easily lodge their corruption-related complaints instead of approaching the CBI branch located at Chennai,” said the order.

"Puducherry people thank Govt of India for opening a unit of CBI in Puducherry. It was a long-standing need and demand. It has been met now.
