Puducherry gets 17,500 doses of Covishield, govt ready for rollout on Jan 16
The Territorial government received on Wednesday 17,500 doses of Covishield vaccine and it would be used in Puducherry and Karaikal regions,officials said.

Director of Health and Family Welfare services S Mohan Kumar said through a video message that separate consignment of 320 doses was received at the government hospital in Yanam, an enclave of Puducherry in Andhra Pradesh today.
Mahe was expected to get the consignment of 1100 doses on Thursday.
Chief Minister V Narayanasamy would inaugurate the vaccination drive at the government maternity hospital here on January 16in line with the Union Health Ministry guidelines.
Kumar said around 14,000 health care workers would be covered in the first phase in nine centres in the Union Territory.
