Punjab CM urges Amit Shah to handle issue of Pak-drones supplying arms
Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh urged Home Minister Amit Shah to handle the problem of drones dropping consignments of arms & ammunition from Pakistan

Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday urged Home Minister Amit Shah to handle the problem of Pakistan-origin drones that have allegedly been dropping consignments of arms and ammunition from across the border. This development came two days after Punjab Police probe revealed the use of drones to deliver weapons from across the border.
Taking to Twitter, the Punjab CM said that the recent incidents of Pakistan-origin drone dropping of consignments is a "new and serious dimension on Pakistan's sinister designs" in the aftermath of abrogation of Article 370 from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Captain Amrinder Singh requested Amit Shah to handle the problem of drones at the earliest.

Punjab Police crackdown on terror
On Sunday, the Punjab Police had stated that they have busted a terror module of the Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), backed by a group based in Pakistan. The Police had claimed that the terror group was conspiring to unleash a series of strikes in Punjab and adjoining states. It was revealed during the Initial investigation that drones were used for the delivery of weapons and communication hardware from Pakistan. The Punjab police had arrested four members of the terror module from the outskirts of Chohla Sahib village in Tarn Taran district of Punjab on Sunday.
From the arrested members of the terror module, several arms and ammunition were recovered including, five AK-47 rifles, 16 magazines and 472 rounds of ammunition, four Chinese-made .30 bore pistols. The police had also recovered eight magazines and 72 rounds of ammunition; nine hand grenades, five satellite phones with their ancillary equipment, two mobile phones, two wireless sets and fake currency with the face value of Rs 10 lakh from the terrorists.
In the light of the crackdown, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh had also urged the Centre to alert the Air Force and the Border Security Force about the findings of the investigations over drones being used to supply weapons from across the border. He also directed the forces to launch the necessary counter-measures to tackle the situation.
