In an explicable tweet, Congress President Rahul Gandhi mocked the Indian Army, the elite dog squad and the International Yoga Day. The chief tweeted a picture of Indian Army dogs and their handlers performing exercises on the occasion of International Yoga Day. In a not-so-subtle sarcastic reference, the Congress president captioned his tweet as "New India".

The distasteful tweet has been drawing sharp reactions from many netizens. "The only things you ever make are mistakes and more mistakes", "No Lesson Learnt", "Beautiful pictures but distasteful tweet" and "you really won't grow up, will you", read some of the comments.

The Congress president managed to find a flaw in an innocent picture that was circulated across the internet and was adorned by the masses, wherein the canines of the Armed Forces were practicing yoga. The four-legged security forces could be seen in pictures performing Yoga, alongside their security forces.

The International Yoga Day that found its roots in India on June 21, 2015, was celebrated on the day across the world.  From China to France and even Saudi Arabia celebrated the occasion in a grand affair.
