Railway officials in Bhopal on Saturday night rescued a dog and her two newborn puppies from beneath a pile of rails at a yard near Bhopal station. According to reports, the rescue operation was carried out successfully after six hours. The rescue operation was done under the leadership of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Bhopal Railway Station, Udaya Borwankar. Further reports stated that the railway officials handed the dogs to an organization that raises dogs in Bhopal.

About the incident
According to reports, the incident took place on Saturday night when a few passerbys heard the trapped dogs wailing in pain. Few of then informed the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Bhopal Railway Station, Udaya Borwankar, who then sent a team of railway personnel to look into the situation. However, the dogs couldn't be rescued without the tracks being removed. Further reports stated that on the DRM's order, the railway officials removed the tracks at night and rescued the dog and her two puppies.
Railway crew saves a herd of 25 elephants
In another such incident, the railway officials in Assam had saved a herd of 25 elephants who were crossing the rail track. According to reports, the officials had stopped the train near Dekargaon Station in Assam. Taking it to Twitter, Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal has applauded the alertness and prompt action of the railway crew. He also shared a video of the same.
