Rajnath Singh in Japan, meets the Japanese PM Abe and Defence Minister
Rajnath Singh arrived in Japan on a Saturday to hold bilateral talks with Japan. He met the Japanese PM and Defence Minister and visited the Hamamatsu Airbase

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Japan on Saturday. The Minister is currently on a five-day visit to the East Asian Countries. Announcing his visit to Japan, the Minister said that the meet is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between India and Japan.
Rajnath Singh tries the F-15 plane
The Union Home Minister paid a visit to the Hamamatsu Airbase in Japan on Tuesday. He took a close look at the functioning of F-15 fighter aircraft and Kawasaki Trainer plane. He also took a bullet train to reach the Hamamatsu Airbase. Earlier, on Tuesday the Minister also visited the Japan Maritime United Yokohama Shipyard Isogo Works in Yokohama.

Rajnath Singh discusses India-Japan bilateral relations
The Union Home Minister met with the Japanese Defence Minister on Monday, and the two leaders discussed India-Japan defence co-operation. He also said that the two countries will deepen their ties. The two leaders expressed their satisfaction at the progress made in defence co-operation for shared security. They also expressed their desire to further deepen the strategic and defence co-operation between Japan and India, said the statement released by the Defence Ministry.

The Union Home Minister also met the Japanese Prime Minister on Monday. The Defence Minister said that in the meeting he reiterated the Prime Minister of India’s commitment to enhance the defence relations between the two countries. He also said that the constant talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo had taken the relations between the two countries to a higher pedestal.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also dined with Japan’s Defence Minister Takeshi Iwaya.

The Union Home Minister is now headed to South Korea to hold bilateral dialogues with his counterpart Jeong Kyeong-doo and will call on the South Korean Prime Minister Lee-Nak Yon. He is also set to address a Business to Government (B2G) meeting in Seoul.
