Sand artist from Odisha Sudarsan Pattnaik on Tuesday celebrated the milestone achieved by ISRO's moon mission Chandrayaan by entering the lunar orbit as planned by the space agency. The artist always makes sand art on various events and issues. On the occasion of India's moon mission's success, he created a beautiful tribute for Chandrayaan 2 congratulating ISRO.

Chandrayaan 2 announces milestone
Announcing about the feat, the ISRO statement said: "Lunar Orbit Insertion (LOI) manoeuvre was completed successfully today (August 20, 2019) at 0902 hrs IST as planned, using the onboard propulsion system. The duration of manoeuvre was 1738 seconds. With this, Chandrayaan-2 was successfully inserted into a Lunar orbit. The orbit achieved is 114 km x 18072 km." The Chandrayaan 2 landing date next is September 7.

"We have huge a number of emission operations like earthbound manoeuvre and lunar orbit manoeuvre and its timings are adjusted, so that landing timing is the same. The landing timing is sacrosanct for us as we want the landing to start at the beginning of the lunar day "
