Sara Ali Khan opened up on finding success 'scary', and not chasing it. She said not having a release in 2019 has not affected her since she honed her skills.

Sara Ali Khan has been welcomed with open arms in the film industry. The buzz that surrounded the star kid before her entry in Bollywood translated into instant popularity after her debut. Today, the youngster is a household name in Bollywood, and be it every movement of her life being tracked, her love life or her movies, every single detail makes headlines. Despite all this talk over her career and personal life, her first two years in Bollywood were contrasting, last year she featured in two hits, Kedarnath and Simmba that released in the same span of a few days, but this year, she didn’t have any releases. Both the pattern of events, however, have not impacted Sara Ali Khan much. The youngster does not want to delve too much into her initial success as she finds it ‘scary’, because she feels it is something not permanent. On the other hand, despite not having a release this year, Sara feels she has worked on her craft and built her brand as she gears up for her new releases.
In a recent interview with a daily, Sara Ali Khan said that the success that she achieved was ‘scary’ for her because at the back of her mind, she feels it could go away. The actor stated that it is possible that she could have a flop too. Asserting that any amount of success is never enough, the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, said that success was not something that she was consciously chasing.
Sara Ali Khan also didn’t have any qualms about not having a release this year. In fact, she looked at it in a positive way. In the interview, she said that today she feels she belongs to the film industry even more last year, as she has worked towards honing her craft and building her individual brand. She also conveyed her excitement towards her upcoming films, adding that she is looking forward to release them next year.
Professional front
On the professional front, Sara will be seen in two films next year. She’ll first be seen in the sequel of Love Aaj Kal opposite Kartik Aaryan. Later, she will feature in the Coolie No 1 remake opposite Varun Dhawan.
