Tej Pratap's wife enters Rabri Devi's house after Police intervention
After the intervention of Bihar Police, Tej Pratap Yadav's wife and RJD leader Chandrika Rai's daughter has been allowed to enter Rabri Devi's residence
As the feud in family of former chief minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav spilled in open on Sunday, with his daughter-in-law - Tej Pratap Yadav's wife alleging abuse and harassment by Misa Bharti and Rabri Devi, the Bihar Police has intervened in the matter. Late at night on Sunday, Bihar Police reached Rabri Devi's residence and Tej Pratap's wife Aishwarya was given entry to the residence. Earlier, Aishwarya's father and senior RJD leader Chandrika Rai met the DGP and apprised him of the matter. Even as Aishwarya was given an entry to the house, her father and Yadav family's old friend Chandrika Rai was stopped by security guards of Rabri Devi from entering. In a mark of protest, he sat outside the residence of Rabri Devi.
What happened on Sunday?
On Sunday, Tej Pratap's wife Aishwarya Rai alleged that she was not given food and was abused and harassed by her mother-in-law Rabri Devi. Narrating her ordeal, she said that she was not given food and the kitchen was locked. She also said that she was quiet because of old family connections with Lalu Yadav's family. Calling it the biggest mistake, her father and lawmaker Chandrika Rai said that the Yadav family has been behaving shamelessly.
Tej Pratap and Aishwarya's divorce case
Tej Pratap and his wife are involved in a divorce case that is sub-judice. Filing her reply in the the Patna Civil Court last month, Aishwarya has alleged that Tej Pratap is a drug addict. In her application, she has alleged that within a few days of their marriage, she discovered that Tej Pratap was addicted to Marijuana (illicit Cannabis) and added that he consumed that said drug on a regular basis. She also alleged that under the influence of the drug, the RJD leader would often dress inappropriately. She has on Sunday alleged that Misa Bharti harasses her the most.
A few days ago, his wife was spotted leaving Rabri Devi's residence in tears, last month. Lalu's elder son Tej Pratap and his wife Aishwarya Rai are engaged in a legal battle soon after their marriage in 2018. In the latest development, Aishwarya Rai was spotted outside Rabri Devi's official residence. Even as she did not speak to media, cameras captured her crying, after which she sat in her father's car and left the venue. Though Aishwarya last month responded to the divorce plea seeking protection from the family court under the Protection of Women Against Domestic Violence Act, 2005, her being at the residence has piqued speculations of feud in the Yadav family. Aishwariya is the daughter of senior RJD legislator Chandrika Rai.
