In a massive development, the Tis Hazari court has framed charges against the Uttar Pradesh Police cops along with MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and others for implicating the father of the rape survivor in a fake Arms Act case. The court has learnt that a larger conspiracy has been hatched by the accused MLA in the case against the family of the rape survivor.

Hearing a case in the matter, the Tiz Hazari Court framed charges in the case of the death of the father of the rape survivor while he was in the custody of the UP Police. Framing the charges, the court said that it has enough evidence against the accused to proceed the case against them.

This development has come three days after the counsel for the Unnao rape survivor told the court in New Delhi that the CBI "deliberately" did not name expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his brother as accused in the murder case of the rape survivor's father.

The submissions were made before District Judge Dharmesh Sharma, who held a special hearing on a court holiday with the Delhi High Court's permission to comply with the Supreme Court's 45-day deadline to conclude the trial.

However, Senior Public Prosecutor Ashok Bhartendu who was appearing for the CBI, had denied the allegation and said that the investigation officer collected the evidence in the case in all "fairness" and there was no "mala fide" intention on his part. The court had therefore reserved its order on framing of charges for August 13 in the case of alleged assault and framing of the rape survivor's father in an Arms Act case in 2018.

So far, ten persons, including Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his brother Atul Singh Sengar and three other Uttar Pradesh police officers, have been named as accused in the CBI chargesheet.

Meanwhile, counsels for the rape survivor and her family -- advocates Dharmendra Mishra and Poonam Kaushik -- have alleged that the investigating officer did not probe the case properly.
