Finding the man who helped her father

In a detailed Facebook post describing the events, Pontalli expressed that in 1981, her father, PK Vijayan moved to the UAE with his family and there he worked as a construction worker, in unbearable conditions. However, he bore it all for his family due to loans and with sisters of marriageable age. After which he landed as a salesman in fruits and vegetable shop in Al Ruwaissa, wherein Izam took an instant liking towards her father and helped him by getting his clothes washed and inviting his family to stay at Izam's place. His brother, Imad Al Hussain, also was fond of PK Vijayan. Eventually, after proving his mettle, Izam Al Hussain hiked her father's salary and also handed over the responsibility of the shop. With this, Vijayan was able to get his sisters married. But, her father had to return to India due to personal reasons, and unfortunately couldn't go back to UAE.

A bond beyond an employer-employee relationship

Many years later her father still recalls the fond memories the employer and employee shared between them. As posted by Nisha, she said it was a bond 'beyond that of employer and employee.'

“Which employer would have bothered to invite his employee of two years to his house and make him stay with his family, which consisted of his mother, two brothers and a sister of marriageable age, just before he was about to leave for India for a vacation? Izam also surprised papa with a huge box full of gifts for his family,” in the post she quoted her father.

Nisha writes that maybe her post could help in locating her father's old employer. She also posted a photo of her father, PK Vijayan standing along with Izam Al Hussain's brother, Imad Al Hussain.
