In a chilling a new statement, the Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri on Tuesday has called all Kashmiri terror groups to band together to 'single-mindedly focus on inflicting unrelenting blows on the Indian Army and government so as to bleed the Indian economy and make India suffer sustained losses in manpower and equipment'.

In the video released by the Zawahiri titled - 'Don't Forget Kashmir', Zawahiri talks about the tragic situation Kashmiri Muslims are facing 'caught between Hindu brutality and Pakistan's secular intelligence agencies'.

Kashmir and the Indian Army

Displaying several visuals of Indian Army officials apprehending Kashmiris under terror charges, he adds that we (Al-Qaeda) must empathize with their cause and aide the Kashmiri Muslims. He then goes on to say that the Al-Qaeda must reiterate their stance on Kashmiri aggression stating that an attack on Kashmiri Muslims is an attack on the Muslim community adding that hence Arab Mujahideen wanted to go to Kashmir but were stopped by the Pakistan Army.

"Geographical boundaries and national differences cannot divide us. Allah says that if one part of the body aches, the entire body feels the pain. Hence the Arab Mujahideen wanted to head to Kashmir after expelling the Russians from Afghanistan. But the Pakistan Army - the toadies of America were lying in wait for them," says Zawahiri.

Al-Qaeda slams Pak Army

He then goes on to slam the Pakistani Army for using the Kashmiri Mujahideen for their on own political uses, while taking bribes from the American government to destroy the Muslims in the area, failing to support the Islamic cause or liberate the Kashmiri Muslims' lands. Comparing the relationship of Pakistan Army and the American government to that of a petty thief and a gang boss, he goes on to say that the Pakistani Army cannot be trusted to liberate Kashmir.

"Their history of failures, defeats, corruption, and treachery is a witness to this truth. At the very most, all they would like to achieve is to transfer to Kashmir the corruption and rot that Pakistan has endured at their hands for seventy years,” he says.

Al-Qaeda's expansion to India

Since 2014, the Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri had focused on expanding his terror regime to India releasing a video in September 2014, announcing the formation of a new Al-Qaeda franchise for the region stating “a message that we did not forget you, our Muslim brothers in India”. Terror elements of the Al-Qaeda have been active in the Kashmir Valley in hopes of escalating pressure on the Indian Army and government with respect to the Kashmir issue.
