A 27-year-old man, often known as 'James Bond 007' within the crime world, and his affiliate had been arrested on Thursday, stated a police officer in New Delhi on Saturday. Krishna aka James Bond 007, a resident of Shalimar Bagh of Delhi, was concerned in six instances of homicide, try and homicide and the Arms Act. 'Unhealthy character'

Statement by the DCP

The police arrested them and recovered two country-made pistols from them. “During interrogation, Krishna revealed that he was released from prison a month ago. Krishna and Vinod were jail inmates. Vinod, released from the jail last year, had procured firearm and ammunition, and also provided arms to Krishna after his release from jail,” stated the DCP. They had been planning to rob somebody on September 12. Krishna placed on his 'lucky 007 T-shirt' for achievement, however, was arrested, stated the DCP.

The crime rate continues to soar high in Delhi

A 21-year-old woman was shot when she tried to stop a fight between a husband and his wife in outer Delhi's Narela area, police said on Saturday. They said Rachna was shot around 10 pm on Friday when she intervened to stop the quarrel between Javed and his wife in Narela's Sector B2.

In another case in Delhi, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her cousin in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district, the police said on Saturday. The girl was playing with her friends when the 24-year-old man took her to a secluded spot and allegedly raped her on Friday, Superintendent of Police Pratap Gopendra Yadav said. The accused left the child in a 'very bad condition' and fled the village, they said, adding that the girl's family took her to a doctor who told them about the sexual assault.
