Assam police 'waiting for' Cannabis claimant, after massive drug haul

After another major drug haul, Assam police posted more funny tweets about 'waiting for a claimant' for seized Cannabis haul. Twitterati joined in the joke.

The Assam police has garnered attention on social media for yet another hilarious tweet. They claimed to have seized '720 Kg of Cannabis' in a 'joint operation' for which they were 'awaiting claimant'. They also added that their ‘previous offer’ referring to their seizure of '520 kgs of Cannabis' at Chagolia checkpoint was still valid.

Assam Police offers Cannabis, get in touch to go to prison

The tweet has been pinned on Assam police's twitter handle, announcing that they are eagerly 'waiting' for someone to claim the earlier haul of Cannabis that was seized and another '720 Kg of seized Cannabis' can be claimed with 'previous offer still standing valid'.

Earlier in June, the Assam police tweeted about with seizing 590 Kgs of Cannabis, 'anyone lost Cannabis and a truck in around Chagolia Checkpoint? Don't panic, we found it.' To claim, 'please get in touch with Dhubri police'. 

The police had also posted another tweet, wherein they claim to having seized '12055' Kgs of Marijuana the entire year, joking that it was not their new helpline number. They futher added that '12.3 Kg of Opium' and '8.5 Kg of Heroin' had been seized this year.
