At BJP's Parliamentary party meet, PM Modi sets 'Eradicate Tuberculosis by 2025' goal for MPs, tells them to focus on healthcare

The meeting was attended by Home Minister Amit Shah, Working President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar, among other BJP leaders.
Sources have told that during the meeting PM Modi has told the Members of Parliament to work extensively for the people and involve in social work. He also held discussions on animal husbandry asking MPs to help combat cattle diseases, among other problems. Furthermore, the Prime Minister has also urged the MPs to work for the eradication of diseases like TB (Tuberculosis), leprosy etc, adding that India should be made TB free by the year 2025.
Speaking to media after the BJP meet, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi addressed the media and said that PM Modi has also requested all the lawmakers to ensure 100% attendance in the house proceedings. He has further asked the details of all the lawmakers who did not attend Parliament despite being asked to be present for the session.
The meeting was attended by all Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs and was convened by PM Modi. The meeting comes ahead of the beginning of day’s proceeding in the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Parliament.
Earlier during a meeting, PM Narendra Modi had instructed all the BJP MPs to carry out 'padayatra' in every Lok Sabha constituency between October 2 and October 31, which mark the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel respectively.
Speaking to media, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi had said that PM Modi had asked the BJP MPs to embark on 'padayatra' for 150 kms between October 2 and October 31, as a celebration for the 150th birth anniersary of Mahatma Gandhi. He said that 10 groups will be made in every constituency in which the MP and other BJP leaders will carry out the padayatra for 15 kms each every day till October 31.
