Ease of Doing Business: Rajyavardhan Rathore hails India's performance

The Member of Parliament from Jaipur (Rural), Rajyavardhan Rathore has congratulated PM Modi on India’s jump in the ease of 'Doing Business' rankings released by the World Bank on Thursday. The army veteran and Padma Shri awardee, while congratulating PM Modi, also hailed the work done by him at the ground level. This comes after the World Bank released the recent ease of ‘Doing Business’ report, ranking the global economies that made it easier to do business between May 2018 and 2019.

Ease of 'Doing Business' rankings
India which was on the 142nd rank in the ease of ‘Doing Business’ report of 2014 jumped to the 77th position in 2018. The current report, however, shows that India has further jumped 14 spaces to become the 63rd country in ease of 'Doing Business'. India amongst the given parameters in the ease of ‘Doing Business’ has ranked highest in projecting the interest of minority investors. Apart from this India has also does well in getting electricity and dealing with construction permits as per this year’s ranking. India also grew by 21.2% points in resolving insolvency as per the report.
Prakash Javadekar on ease of ‘Doing Business’
Highlighting India’s jump in ease of 'Doing Business' ranking, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar said that “India is becoming a very hot destination for FDI investments and other investors because of the conscious policy decisions and practices that are adopted by Modi government. These decisions are providing ease of 'Doing Business' and ease of living; therefore, people are preferring India over other countries. Our march towards providing ease of 'Doing Business' and ease of living will continue under the leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modiji”. Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri also hailed the transformative policies introduced in India that led to the jump in India’s ranking.
