Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday wished the BJP's ally-turned-foe Chandrababu Naidu a happy birthday as the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister turned 69-years old.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi sent across his greetings to Naidu, and prayed for his long and healthy life.
The Prime Minister wasn't the only one to take time out despite the heat of election season to wish the veteran politician.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Naidu on multiple occasions as the two have put up a united front in the lead-up to the elections, most recently after the Trinamool chief's dharna following the dramatic CBI vs Kolkata Police face-off in February, has also sent in her wishes, along the same lines as PM Modi:
Another party leader who has quit the NDA before the 2019 elections, Upendra Kushwaha, has sent in his wishes:
And so has Chandrababu Naidu's son and Andhra Pradesh Minister Lokesh Nara:
Naidu and the TDP had been a key NDA constituent for two decades before pulling out in 2018 over the issue of special category status for Andhra Pradesh following its 2014 bifurcation as the state of Telangana was carved out.
