A day after Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani launched a scathing attack on Congress party for 'inciting violence against migrants', RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has sought out an apology from the CM for calling 'fellow Indians as migrants'.
On Monday, CM Rupani took to Twitter and wrote:
Hitting out at Gujarat CM, Tejashwi Yadav Yadav demanded an immediate apology:
This comes after exodus like situation emerged in Gujarat. The migrants from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh fleed the state over the fear of backlash following the rape of a 14-month-old toddler by a man from Bihar. Later, Republic TV put out the video of Congress leader Alpesh Thakor that dates back thirteen days before the tension begin in the state. Alpesh could be heard inciting violence and creating a divide between 'Gujarati Vs Non-Gujarati' divide through his 'hate speech'.
"These people who have come from outside they commit crime over here (unclear) and then beat our villagers in their own village. And after committing the crime they go back to their respective places. For them, they have jobs over here in Maruti and other companies but our people don't, they have jobs. And from now 30,000 has increased to 3 lakhs".
"Even if you consider that they are Indians and give them 20% jobs, sir my Gujaratis are dying due to starvation and then you cry saying that they are also Indians but tell me when my Gujaratis are thrown out from there why were you sleeping? There you did not say that they are also Indians. So this is very clear that in Gujarat give 55% jobs to my Gujarati youth and give jobs to the Gujarati staying here. And this is not an issue of one place this is an issue of the whole of Gujarat".
