BJP leader Amit Malviya took a jibe at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for 'imitating' Prime Minister Narendra Modi after she went ahead and hugged Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on October 6. Malviya derided the Congress leader through his tweets and said Priyanka Gandhi is clearly copying Prime Minister Narendra Modi's way of greeting leaders.
Malviya takes a dig at Priyanka Gandhi Vadra
Amit Malviya targeted the Congress leader by saying that Priyanka is 'taking a leaf out of Modi's book' after she attacked PM Modi by mocking him on grounds of 'hugplomacy'. Apart from this Malviya also unleashed a scathing attack on the Congress leaders and cadres by addressing them as 'overzealous folks'. Moreover, Malviya did not miss out the opportunity to attack Rahul Gandhi and called him 'petulant'.
"They say imitation is the best form of flattery." said Amit Malviya
Earlier on Sunday, Priyanka engaged in a meeting with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who she cited as a great inspiration and shared a picture of hugging.
"An overdue hug from Sheikh Hasina Ji whom I have been waiting to meet again for a long time." said Gandhi
The Congress has repeatedly mocked Prime Minister Modi and criticized his hugs with foreign leaders and dignitaries. Earlier in March, Congress tweeted with the hashtag '#hugplomacy':
"With Modi, it seems like a hug a day sends foreign leaders running away."
