Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, which will happen in less that five months, Republic TV in association with CVoter, has come with the National Approval Ratings for the state of Himachal Pradesh. The ratings bring forward the mood of the nation if the polls were held on December 1, 2018.
The state of Himachal Pradesh is home to 4 Lok Sabha seats and based on December ratings, the NDA is projected to win in all 4 as it had done in 2014.
In terms of vote share, the NDA is projected to get 49.8% vote share, the Congress 38.3% vote share and others 11.9% vote share.
The NDA had got 53.5% vote share in 2014, while UPA had gotten 40.7 %, others had received 5.8%.
The BJP and its allies have seen a 3.5% projected downfall from it's 2014 vote share while the Congress plus allies have seen a projected fall of 2.4% vote share.
Others are projected to gain due to the direct beneficiary of this reduction in the vote share of the two national parties.
The November ratings numbers from Himachal Pradesh show that the NDA is retaining all the four seats in Himachal Pradesh, with a vote share of 49.9 %. The UPA shows it has received 38.2% vote share, while others have got 11.9%.
The October numbers also gave the NDA a victory in all the four seats. The vote share for the BJP alliance was 50.6% and for UPA it was 37.5% and other it was 11.9%.
The month to month ratings for the state in terms of vote share and seat share have more or less remained the same.
The predictions are noteworthy as the BJP which is incumbent in the state, has lost the state assembly polls in Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh.
(The results of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.)
