Ahead of the Assembly polls, which will be held in 2019, Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has come out with the third edition of the National Approval Ratings to bring forward the mood of the nation in the present time.
One state, whose figures were same in 2014 and October, November edition of National Approval Ratings is Delhi. The capital, which has AAP in power, has outrightly rejected the party when it comes to assembly elections.
The BJP is projected to reign supreme the way it did in 2014, winning all the seven seats in as dominating fashion as it gets. Both Congress and AAP will remain empty-handed.
Comparison to 2014:
For years, it used to be a two-way fight between Congress and BJP. But in 2014, AAP made their way to give the people of the capital an option. Though, the citizens sidelined the new party, choosing BJP for all the seven seats.
And this time around, the situation is still the same, with BJP projected to clean sweep the National Capital with a vote share of 42 percent. Both Congress and AAP are projected to draw blank, despite a vote share of 27.3 percent and 26.6 percent respectively.
Prediction in October and November:
In both the editions of the National Approval Ratings, BJP-led NDA was expected to repeat its 2014 performance, winning all the seven seats in the National Capital with a vote share in excess of 41 percent on both the occasions. The Congress and AAP, despite being projected to have a vote share of 27.7 and 26.1 percent (in November) and 28 and 26.5 percent (in October), would fail to open their account.
(The results of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.)
