Tejashwi Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly on Wednesday claimed that Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar has been left stranded without the support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in the state. Addressing Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Yadav tweeted,
Hello Mr. Vice Captain,
— Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) October 9, 2019
Your helpless Captain is alone in the field. Ur faithful colleagues are getting him bowled & run out. Why you have run away & hiding like a criminal? It’s ok to be rescued. It wouldn’t have been easy for you to boycott CM’s “Dussehra” program, isn’t it? https://t.co/PQcAgMwUFB
NDA has turned Bihar into a circus, claims Yadav
Sushil Modi had earlier tweeted that Nitish Kumar was the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state and will remain its leader in the assembly elections in 2020. Yadav also said that NDA has turned Bihar into a circus and its leaders were fighting like cats and dogs amongst themselves to hide their failures.
Yadav also lashed out at CM Nitish Kumar and said, "Nitish Ji not only betrayed us but also discarded the basic principles on which secular-socialist politics rest."
BJP Leaders Miss Ravan Dahan Event Attended By CM Nitish Kumar
Senior BJP leaders including Sushil Modi and others gave a miss to Dusshera celebrations at Patna's iconic Gandhi Maidan, where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was the chief guest. The chair designated for the deputy chief minister stayed empty during the celebrations. As the Chair for the deputy Chief Minister stayed empty, it fuelled rumours in the state's political circles about the alliance partners. The BJP leaders giving a miss to this key Dussehra event comes days after a war of words erupted between BJP and JDU leaders following the flood situation in Patna.
