Tribal welfare a priority for Rajasthan govt: Gehlot
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said tribal welfare was a priority for his government
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said tribal welfare was a priority for his government.
"Carrying out development works is a priority for our government. We opened a university for tribal students so that they could be benefitted from it," Gehlot said while addressing a farmers' meeting in Dungapur district. He said the government has taken a number of decisions for public welfare and upholding the dignity of labour. The CM said the state government had also decided to bear the burden of power tariffs so that farmers had no impact of the increase in charges.
Gehlot said the MGNREGA had highly benefitted people in Dungapur and Banswara districts as compared with other districts. Prior to the meeting, the CM also attended a medical camp in Chittorgarh district.
