Attacking yet again Modi government's daring Demonetisation drive, he said that the Budget must look into easing the suffering of the unorganised sector looming under the effect of Demonetisation
As Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents the annual budget of the Modi government 2.0 on July 5, Congress leader Ashok Gehlot expresses his concern regarding the unemployment, farm distress and other factors of the economy.
Taking to Twitter, Ashok Gehlot who is also the chief minister of Rajasthan said that he hopes that the NDA government under Prime Minister Modi finds a solution to job crisis, farm distress and investment. Attacking yet again Modi government's daring Demonetisation drive, he said that the Budget must look into easing the suffering of the unorganised sector looming under the effect of Demonetisation. He also said that the Budget 2019 should be people friendly and should be dedicated to common men and to boost growth economy.
Here is what he tweeted:
In one of the most significant development, the Finance Minister discontinued the British-era tradition to carry briefcase before the Budget. Instead she carried a red bhaikhatta (ledger). Informing about the reason, Chief Economic Advisor KV Subramanian said that Finance Minister Sitharaman believed that leather made products are not auspicious for the big occasion and therefore she avoided the leather bag, and instead used the traditional bhaikhatta (ledger).
All eyes are set on to the Finance Ministry to know how the Modi government in its second term will deal with the country's economy. As the goal envisioned by Prime Minister Modi is to make India 5 trillion dollar economy till 2025, it is expected that Budget 2019 will pave the way for it. A day ahead of Union Budget, the Finance Minister tabled economic survey 2019 that drew a roadmap for achieving the goal of five trillion dollar economy by 2024-2025.
